Willetton Football Club Ladies Day Kicks Goal!
Recently the Willetton Football Club held a ladies marquee event and helped to raise awareness and funds for people living with cystic fibrosis in WA.
More than 150 ladies attended the outdoor marquee event and supported by making donations and joining in the raffles and games. Over $3,187 was raised for adults and children living with cystic fibrosis in WA. This wonderful contribution will go towards providing essential support services for people living with cystic fibrosis and their families, and support critical CF research to improve treatments and one day find a cure.
Cystic Fibrosis WA’s Events & Community Fundraising Coordinator Marnie Thomson accepted the invitation to attend and was delighted to be welcomed warmly at the event by the organisers, sponsors and guests. Marnie says, “It was a lovely event with a friendly feel. I got the chance to speak to a number of people about cystic fibrosis, thank them for their support and explain why their support is so important.”
Thank you to Lisa Bolton of Prestige Settlements, the major sponsor for the event, who chose Cystic Fibrosis WA as the beneficiary through her personal connection to a family member who lives with cystic fibrosis. Thankyou also to the dedicated committee including Perry Kleppe, Tania Kleppe and Emily Pollett who organised the event and brought it all together. This event also received great support from the local council, City of Canning, and Councillor Yaso Ponnuthurai was in attendance.
