Running up the funds at HBF Run
Top ranking teams, individuals who smashed their targets and crowds of red lung shirts in a sea of blue – this year the HBF Run was an absolute winner!
We were very lucky to have a big team of participants who made cystic fibrosis their reason to run this year for the 2019 HBF Run for a Reason and we are blown away by the support of the community.
Thanks to the efforts of more than 30 participants and the support of hundreds of generous donors, over $31,205 was raised for children and adults living with cystic fibrosis in WA. In addition to the fantastic fundraising, there was a significant amount of awareness raised in the lead up to the event and on the day. Thank you to everyone who actively shared their experiences and stories of living with cystic fibrosis or knowing someone who does.
We had so many success stories from our runners this year, with many of them exceeding their original fundraising target and others smashing their personal best times on the day. One of our teams ‘For Norah’ even made it to second place on the team fundraising leader board – making them the second biggest fundraising team for the whole of WA!
Thank you to everyone who took steps this year to help make a difference to the cystic fibrosis community – your efforts are greatly appreciated!
