Our most treasured fundraising and awareness event of the year, 65 Roses Day, returns on Friday, 24 May 2024. This annual event holds a special…
Park the Pram Mum and Dad, We Are Walking!
For the last two years the team ‘For Norah’ has participated in the HBF Run for a Reason, raising over $11,000 for Cystic Fibrosis WA and creating significant awareness for cystic fibrosis (CF).
After completing the massive 12km course in 2017 and 2018, the team have decided to come together again on the 19 May to take on the run, this time participating in the 4km course. And they have a very good reason for changing things up!
Twins Cole and Norah, who normally ride in the pram, have decided they want to be taking their own steps for CF this year, alongside their supportive family and friends. They have already been out walking with their Oma and Aunty, preparing for the big day.
Every year the team comes up with new, creative ways to make themselves noticed, wearing tutus and red CFWA shirts. Norah and Cole’s dad Cody even ‘auctioned’ off different items to wear on the run, like putting on a red wig or fairy wings if someone donated $100 to their fundraising page. We can’t wait to see what they come up with this year!
CF is a cause close to this team’s heart and has the been the motivation for their efforts over the years. Norah was diagnosed with CF at just 6 weeks old. Norah’s mum Nyssa has shared their family’s story on the team fundraising page, hoping that it will raise awareness for this condition and inspire others to make CF their reason to run. Visit their fundraising page here to read more of their story.
