Walk for Luca
At 7am on 27th February Laura Currie and about 30 friends set off from Cottesloe on a walk all the way to Hillarys (a short 21kms!) to paint the West Coast Highway red to raise awareness and funds for Cystic Fibrosis WA. Concurrently their friends and family also did a walk in Scotland to raise awareness.
Collectively they’ve raised a whopping $10,089 for Cystic Fibrosis WA! A huge celebration has held at the Sorrento foreshore to celebrate their achievements with a rose wall, balloon garlands and even a DJ and a cheeky cold bevvy organised by community fundraiser Laura!
Laura was inspired to take on the 65 Roses Challenge after her and her partner, Dante’s, son was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis late last year. A huge thank you to Laura and her ‘Team Luca’ for their phenomenal fundraising efforts!
If you’d like to take on your own 65 Roses Challenge find out more here.
