There are a range of mental health organisations that can offer help to young people.
Mental Health Organisations
- Headspace – Mental health and counselling for people aged 12 to 25 years.
- This Way Up– An online evidence based program offering tailored CBT programs to help treat a range of mental health conditions.
- CAMHS– Is a specialist mental health service for children and adolescents experiencing moderate to severe mental health concerns. Talk to your GP about a referral.
- Reach Out – Online mental health support and resources designed specifically for teens.
- HelpingMinds – Mental health support services.
- Beyond Blue – Counselling support.
- Kids Helpline – Free, confidential 24/7 counselling services for people aged 5 to 25 years.
- Head to Health (18+)– Helps to navigate services in the mental health and wellbeing space.
- Head to Health (17 and under)-Support and information for young people.

- Smiling Mind – Mindfulness app to allow you to practise a range of skills to build mental fitness.
- The Brave Program – Online self-help program designed specifically to help young people experiencing anxiety and worries.
- MoodGYM – Free, fun, interactive program that helps young people identify and overcome problem emotions and teaches how to develop good coping skills for the future.
Emergency Help
- CAMHS Crisis Connect – is a 24 hour advice line for people under 18. If your young person is in need of urgent mental health advice or in crisis call 1800 048 636.
- MHERL -For people over 18 experiencing a mental health crisis the Mental Health Emergency Response Line (MHERL) is a 24 hour telephone service that can offer assessment, support and referrals. 1800 555 788
- Rurallink – If you are in rural or regional Western Australia Rurallink is the afterhours telephone service for people experiencing a mental health crisis. Open 4.30pm to 8.30am, and 24 hours on weekends and public holidays call 1800 552 002 to speak to a trained mental health clinician”.
