Chronic Wet Cough Team Update – Kalgoorlie

September was a busy month for the chronic wet cough team, travelling to Port Hedland to attend Indigenous Literacy Day and share our message with over 80 families and children and enjoy the day’s festivities before our next stop in Kalgoorlie.

Playgroups and community groups are bustling with families and children and the collaboration across the town is thriving. As we near the end of 2023, something that has become very evident is how welcoming the regional communities are to our team.

We are welcomed with warm smiles, cups of tea and an eagerness to learn more about how to improve the lung health of children. We are so excited about the future and the work that can be done across the state to educate communities about chronic wet cough.

Thank you to our supporters Telethon and the Telehton Kids Institute BREATH team for making this important program possible.
