Chronic Wet Cough – Pilbara Trip

Our next stop in the journey to deliver the chronic wet cough message across the state of Western Australia was Karratha, Roebourne, and Port Hedland.

Leaving the cold weather of Perth behind for the sunny skies of the Pilbara was the perfect welcome to the area. A morning with Danielle and her families at Waju Guma Aboriginal Early Learning Centre to share resources, listen to stories and enjoy tasty morning tea was a lovely way to share our message and engage with families in the region.

Meeting with Aboriginal Medical services, Early Learning Centres, community groups and families and sharing our message “If li`l one has a wet cough for more than 4 weeks, get them to clinic quick,” is part of the important work we are doing to inform and empower local communities with the knowledge to seek health advice.

Thanks again to our supporters Telethon and the Telehton Kids Institute BREATH team for making this important program possible.
