Christmas Lights Shine a Spotlight on CF

Christmas Lights Shine a Spotlight on CF

Our friends at Consulate Court in Thornlie lit their street in support of cystic fibrosis (CF) again and we had a new supporter in Albany who decorated their beautiful garden with Christmas lights as well.

The residents of Consulate Court had some incredible achievements this year with live television crosses on major channels 7, 9 and 10, as well as another very successful street party and even a marriage proposal from members of the community! Not only did they put CF into the spotlight and helped to raise significant awareness, they also managed to raise a record breaking $12,636 for Cystic Fibrosis WA (CFWA). Thank you to the amazing residents of the street, supportive neighbouring residents, visitors to the display and donors who helped to make this year a massive success!

In addition to Consulate Court, we also had a new light display in Albany thanks to the continued support of Lorraine and Jeremy Stevenson who have a grandchild with CF. They decorated their house with Christmas lights and encouraged passing traffic to stop in for a visit and donate. Their efforts helped to raise over $10,310 for CFWA!

Thank you to Lorraine, Jeremy and their big community of generous supporters who helped to make a bright impact in the CF community this festive season.

We are looking to expand our Christmas Lights fundraising in 2020. If you or someone you know decorates their house in lights and would be willing to share a message about CF and host a collection tin for December, please contact our team on events@cfwa.org.au or 08 6457 7333. We have lots of resources and support we can offer, including posters, collection tins, merchandise, volunteers and more!
