What a fantastic day out at Telethon 2022. We met some lovely families and children who were excited to receive our new lung stamp as they entered the CFWA stall in the charity trail walk. This year we also shared our chronic wet cough resources which included our animation, talking poster and colour in pictures. A big thank you to Telethon we have been able to travel to regional areas across WA delivering chronic wet cough education to communities to share the key health message “if your little one has wet cough for more than 4 weeks get them to clinic quick”.
Being involved in the day at the RAC arena, it was lovely to observe families engage with health organisations and to hear stories from families who have been helped by what we do, and the impact Telethon has on the West Australian community.
Young Ava, who lives with CF, was featured on Telethon alongside Nazeem, Anisha and Leo who each created their own Coles donation card with all proceeds being added to this years tally board. Well done Ava!
