2022 CFWA Annual General Meeting Update
CFWA hosted its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday 15 June 2022. We had the pleasure of hearing from Jo Armstrong, CEO Cystic Fibrosis Australia and our President, CEO and Treasurer each provided an update on activities and outcomes. We also addressed administrative items including appointment of our auditors and changes to the CFWA Constitution to reflect good governance practice, including the introduction of tenure (6 year maximum service) for new Board members.
Caz Boyd took the opportunity to thank the CF Community for their support during her time as President, with her maximum tenure in that role now finished. We are fortunate that Caz will continue to be actively involved as a general Board member and passionate ambassador for the CF community. Thankyou for serving as our President over the last 4 years, Caz.
Damien O’Reilly has been appointed as our new President by the Board – Congratulations Damien! Damien has an extensive business background, together with three years CFWA experience, to ensure the Board is effectively governed and focussed on our vision and the interests of people with CF, their families and carers, and other stakeholders. He brings valuable insight from diverse experience in business strategy and governance, compliance and regulatory management; and accounting and financial management.
Sally Rose will hold the offices of both Vice President and Treasurer.
