2020 Volunteers & Supporters Awards Evening

2020 Volunteers & Supporters Awards Evening

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Friday evening to celebrate another wonderful year of support from our dedicated volunteers, sponsors, and fundraisers.

Many of our member services, and the success of major events like 65 Roses Day, have always been made possible with the support of this generous community. This year we can truly say that we could not have achieved any of this without the huge numbers of people and organisations who have given their valuable time, expertise, and funds. Thank you!

Here are our very deserving awards winners for 2020!

Supporter of the Year

Sunburnt Films for their support in producing our Backyard Bootcamp and other films throughout the year.

Fundraiser of the Year

Tatiana Joannides and her Mount Kilimanjaro trek team, who raised $17,900 for CFWA!

Volunteer of the Year

Amy Robinson, who has volunteered her time every week for more than a year and still regularly helps out in the office.

Lappa 65 Roses Spirit Award

Maggie and Katie Di Re, for hosting a range of fundraising and awareness activities over the years including quiz nights, garden parties, macrame and more!

Long Service Award

Nigel Barker, for 13 years of dedicated hard work at CFWA.

It was also a night of farewells, with our CEO, Nigel Barker set to retire at the end of this year after 13 years with CFWA. While we’re very sad to see him go, we were lucky to be able to introduce our incoming CEO, Lisa Bayakly, at the event.

Lisa, formerly a senior partner at KPMG, will be joining CFWA from 1 February 2021. For more information click here.
