Chronic Wet Cough – Karratha Outreach

We had a recent trip to Karratha to spread the message about Chronic Wet Cough, aimed at getting children to clinic if they have a wet cough for more than 4 weeks.

We connected with many passionate people in the region who were keen to learn more about improving the health outcomes for their families and children. From Wickham to Roebourne to South Hedland and Karratha we met with families, children, health professionals, educators, and librarians who enjoyed watching the animation and sharing their thoughts and ideas for future engagement. Resources were added to gift bags in South Hedland as they celebrated Indigenous Literacy Day for 2022.

Keep an eye out on the school buses where our posters will be displayed in Wickham thanks to a great idea from Sonya at Wickham Primary School KindiLink. Heading out to communities and meeting with families, individuals, and community groups and hearing ways that community navigators can empower their own community is vital in delivering our message throughout Western Australia.” Let`s Kick this Wet Cough .
