CFWA Health Department Contract Update
Cystic Fibrosis WA have a contract with WA Health Department that enables us to deliver many of our important services.
It’s been a busy period for our Health Department stakeholders, as they are reviewing services provided to people with respiratory conditions based on their new policies. Their priority focus for this work is ensuring the best outcomes for people with all sorts of respiratory conditions within their budget. We have a good track record on our contract and are working with them to get a new contract in place for 2022 very soon. They highly value the role of community service providers like CFWA, but with an increased demand in the respiratory health sector and advancement in digital and telehealth developments in the last year we anticipate we will see some changes with the new contract.
We will keep you up to date on changes as they become clearer and work with you on anything that may impact you or your family. We will also update you on our expansion into other respiratory conditions and how that will benefit the membership. This will build on our joint respiratory education workshops and training to help improve knowledge of these conditions state-wide. We will continue our focus on earlier recognition and greater access to treatment closer to home for regional West Australians.
