Bring It On! Fundraising Tips

Bring It On! Fundraising Tips

Bring It On! is back on Saturday, 2 September with the biggest #BringItOnForCF event to date.

We know times are tough. If you’re putting off registering because the fundraising goal seems daunting fear not, our Fundraising Team are here to help and have some tips to help you reach your fundraising goal.

Goal: $650 by 2 September

  • Register – your registration fee ($109 Zip+Climb or $89 VERTIGO) will instantly be added to your fundraising goal.
  • If you’re able to make a self-donation ($10-20) then that’s a great place to start as that sets the bar to your friends and family how much they should donate. Or ask a close family member to donate to get the ball rolling.
  • Edit your fundraising page: upload a profile picture, update your personal reason for taking part in Bring It On and then get sharing. Share the link to your fundraising page via email, text message, via your socials to your friends, family, co-workers, any one in your network. And remember to keep asking, sometimes people forget so it’s nice to be reminded.
  • Visit your local dollar shop, purchase a large jar and a bag of jellybeans. Ask 10 friends to donate $10 to guess how many jellybeans are in the jar. The person at the end of the week with the closest guess wins the jar of jellybeans and you can add $100 to your fundraising page.
  • Ask 5 co-workers to give up their daily coffee for the week and donate what they would have spent on coffee to your fundraising page. At the end of the week, you could potentially have $125 added to your fundraising page.
  • Run a money board fundraiser. Sell 100 squares for $10 each which will give you $1000. Once you’ve sold all the squares use a random number generator to pick a number between 1-100. The person who has that square wins $500 and you can add the other $500 to your fundraising page. (This could also work selling the squares for $5 each and the winner takes $250, and you add $250 to your fundraising page).
  • Run a bake sale or soup lunch in your workplace or sporting club and ask co-workers/friends to pay $5 for a plate/bowl.
  • If you work in an office, ask your manager if your workplace does matched donations. If so, they may match your fundraising efforts with a company donation.
  • Don’t forget to keep sharing your fundraising page through your networks. A reminder never hurt. And don’t forget to thank everyone who has donated to you.
